“Baffling Cases” – Notes from a student of Bliss Knapp, CSB

This document was compiled by a student of Mr. Knapp and presents an illustration of how to handle a difficult case.

The following is an excerpt:

When you have tenacious cases, always handle the belief that the patient is consigned to limbo. If you give a treatment and it does not get to the patient, it must be because there is sin handling him. And the next thing to find out is if the sin is in the patient’s own thought or if it is an alien thought being imposed upon the patient’s mind. If it is the patient’s own belief in sin, then it must be uncovered and acknowledged, but if it is alien thought, he must be freed from it and released from limbo.

One of Mr. Knapp’s students had a serious claim which hung on even after the sincere earnest work of the student and also help from practitioners. Mr. Knapp was asked to work. When he gave his treatment, he realized it was not reaching the student. It was as if he were cut off by a curtain or wall of electricity.
